EmpowerID centralizes and automates identity lifecycle management for all of a person's directory and application user accounts. EmpowerID's business process management-based (BPM) platform uses workflows to automate provisioning and de-provisioning of user accounts across platforms based upon events in an HR system or by requests initiated by end users or administrators.

Audit and enforcement of security are centralized with web-based interfaces. This reduces the cost of user administration and ensures that new or transitioning users get the appropriate system access when authorized, and have it revoked or modified immediately upon a relevant change occurring. EmpowerID also provides password self-service and synchronization, directory information self-service and synchronization, and delegated administration.
